Forward motion can be tricky. We get tangled up in ideas of where we should be in our training by now. Wheels start spinning, and that spark of motivation begins to flicker. It’s easy to get stuck in frustration, but there is a way out . . .
Dare to Play
It starts with an idea so simple that’s almost revolutionary – dare to play. Run wild through the tall grass. Don’t worry about the cockleburs right now. Just feel the sun on your face and the ground beneath your feet as your legs carry you across the field. Weave through the sagging, paint-chipped outbuildings, over the bed of the marigolds and into the woods. In a moment you’ve disappeared into another world. Time hangs in the air and light spirals down in drifting beams of gold. THIS is where you belong – where you feel lighter, where you’ve tapped into a river of energy, ideas and hope. Everything is moving in the right direction.
