2013 marks the 7th year of ESPN Radio 560-AM WEBC being the voice of Grandma’s Marathon. Coverage of the race will not only reach the Northland, but friends and families of the runners will be able to tune in worldwide thanks to our live internet streaming at .

“Grandma’s Marathon is a hometown tradition, which has become one of the top 5 marathons in the world. The National Championships, combined with the announcers’ years of experience covering the race, will make for an exciting event,” quotes ESPN Radio Producer Chris Allen.

Announcers at the finish line this year include Jon Garver and Tom Hansen. Mark Marrette and Matt Johnson will announce for the Half Marathon Championships. 2013 is a big year, as it will be the second of two years that Duluth hosts the Half Marathon Championships. Winners of this race are deemed the best in the United States.

ESPN Radio’s sister stations B105, Kool 101.7, and MIX108 will also be keeping you informed on all the race activities. The Breakfast Club’s Ken Hayes will check in every 20 minutes with race details. For those of you who miss the big event on June 22nd, tune into ESPN Radio 560 AM to hear the race repeated in its entirety the first Sunday in July.
