On a national level, maurices is a proud National Team Partner supporting the American Cancer Society and also ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®). "It is important to maurices that the dollars we raise through cause marketing efforts help the communities where our team members live, work and play,” says Hendrickson.

maurices has also helped other various organizations in Duluth, such as the Young Athletes Foundation, Animal Allies and Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, achieve success. “When Grandma's Marathon became a nonprofit organization in 1987, maurices was one of the first businesses to help us out by becoming a presenting sponsor. Their continued support as a major sponsor has been instrumental in the growth of Grandma's Marathon and supporting events. They have helped us every step of the way,” says Executive Director Scott Keenan.

maurices associates, along with their friends and families, staffs Grandma’s Marathon 21-mile water station on London Road each year. They greet runners with cheers and smiling faces at a crucial point in the race for the runners.

"Grandma's Marathon is a time when the whole city comes together to cheer on our friends, neighbors and runners throughout the world," says Hendrickson. "We have over 50 associates who run in the marathon and we want to cheer them all on! We have so much fun with the maurices team, the runners and the terrific neighbors on our mile.
