UCare is proud to be a part of Grandma’s Marathon – for this is our eighth year. Our sponsorship of this popular event is a testimonial to our steadfast mission and values. It rings true as we continue exploring ways to improve health and wellness through innovative services and strong partnerships across communities.
Like marathoners who depend on one another for training runs, setting the pace, and camaraderie – UCare partners with Lutheran Social Service (LSS) to offer the Senior Companion program. Volunteers help members stay connected with others, get to medical appointments, run errands, enjoy a new friend’s company, and continue to live independently in their homes. Just as runners thrive on the buddy system, so too do our members through LSS Senior Companion services.
As runners take their marks following months of training – we’re helping members improve balance, endurance, and strength through Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program. Our UCare for SeniorsSM members receive a complimentary membership. We offer the program at no additional cost to help members enjoy a lifetime of fitness, fun, and friends. We encourage members to stay active – and enjoy the things they love. They too, just may be at the starting gate!
We’re proud to demonstrate that we’re competitors, too – setting the pace and going the distance. Here at UCare, we’re committed to serving a growing community of those seeking high-quality insurance in the health care marketplace. We offer simple, affordable health plans that provide great benefits at a low cost. UCare is firm in its belief that we play a vital role in offering members a plan to get access to care when they need it, and stay healthy… for the long run.
