American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. The AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies: research, education, advocacy, and support.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention runners commit to fundraising a minimum amount prior to race weekend, as outlined below:
- Grandma’s Marathon — $750
- Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon — $750
The fundraising goal must be reached before the runner may register for the race. If the minimum fundraising amount is not met, the remaining balance will be charged to the runner.
In addition to a 2023 entry to the Grandma’s Marathon weekend race of their choice, all American Foundation for Suicide Prevention runners will also receive:
- Free ticket to the Michelina’s All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner (held Friday of race weekend)
