Grab your friends and family and dress up for this spooky race at the Superior Spooktacular!

Date:  October 24, 2020, in Superior, Wisconsin

Waves and Times: The 2-Mile field will be divided into waves of up to 50 people each. Click here to see the start times for each 2-mile wave. The Spider Dash starts at 4 pm.

Featured Races:

  • Spider Dash – The Spider Dash is a free, trick-or-treat walk for kids 14 & under along a half mile section of the North End Nightmare race course. Participants will be able to walk the course, enjoy the Halloween-themed decorations, and receive treats & goodies via a self-serve, contactless method in each themed zone. Parents or other adults in the same household are welcome to accompany children while they participate.
  • North End Nightmare 5K 2 Miler*- Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume, grab your family and friends, and join us for the 2nd annual North End Nightmare along a spooky 2-Mile course in Superior’s North End.  In-Person and Virtual Options available.

    *Note: Due to course restrictions and social distancing measures needed in order to comply with COVID-19 guidelines, the distance of the 2020 North End Nightmare 5K has been shortened to 2-miles for 2020.

Socially-distanced Race Packet and Gear Pick-up for all In-Person Participants and for Virtual Participants who have chosen this option will be available during the following days/times:

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 (DAY BEFORE RACE):
LOCATION: VIP Pizza – Superior (1201 Tower Ave, Superior, WI)*
TIME: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 (RACE DAY): 
LOCATION: Thirsty Pagan Brewing (1615 Winter Street)*
TIME: 2 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

Swag:
All ADULT (15 & Over) 2-mile participants will receive a North End Nightmare full-zip jacket, and all YOUTH (14 & Under) 2-mile participants will receive a hooded sweatshirt!

Spider Dash Swag: All participants in the Spider Dash will receive a commemorative tote bag…perfect for trick-or-treating!

Participation Options

With safety plans in place, we are excited to offer the following options for you to complete the 2020 North End Nightmare!

IN-PERSON OPTIONWe will be hosting a chip timed, in-person version of the North End Nightmare on October 24, 2020. For social distancing purposes, the race will be 2 miles this year vs. a 5K. We will be offering waves of up to 50 people each.

VIRTUAL OPTIONWith this option, you may complete the North End Nightmare at the time and location of your choice during the timeframe of October 24 – October 31. If you select this option, you will receive an email by October 23 with instructions on how to report your time via your Race Roster account.

If the status of the event changes, we will notify participants via email as soon as possible.
