Come enjoy the height of a Duluth summer at the 51st Annual Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk, with a picturesque course sandwiched between the open water of Lake Superior and the Duluth Harbor.

The race, which starts and finishes near the Park Point Pavilion, offers participants the choice of a more competitive 5-mile run or a 2-mile walk, making it perfect for all ages and abilities.

There’s also the Park Point Kids’ Races again this year, which are FREE and open to ages 12 and under. The course is approximately 150-meters, and the kids’ races start an hour before the big event at 5:30 p.m.

Net proceeds from the event go to benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF), which was created in 1990 to assist with the promotion and development of healthy and active lifestyles for youth throughout Carlton, Cook, Douglas, Lake, and St. Louis Counties. Since its inception, the YAF has donated more than $1 million to the community’s youth athletic and recreational organizations.

The Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk is the third and final race in the annual KP Challenge. This three-race series allows participants to commit to three YAF races throughout the spring and summer and is designed to keep participants on a regular training schedule that supports the successful completion of longer distances.

The other races included in the KP Challenge are the Saint Fennessy 4K and Fitger’s 5K.
