Enjoy the height of a Duluth summer at the 50th Annual Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk. Holding the crown as northern Minnesota’s oldest road race, this event starts and finishes near the Park Point Pavilion in Duluth.
A picturesque course sandwiched between the open water of Lake Superior and the Duluth Harbor, this event offers a perfect mid-summer option for runners and walkers alike.
The 5-Miler is a more competitive running field but is now preceded by a 2-Mile Walk, which encourages people of all ages and abilities to come out and enjoy Duluth’s Park Point.
All participants will receive a commemorative Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk T-shirt.
Net proceeds from the event go to benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF), which was created in 1990 to assist with the promotion and development of healthy and active lifestyles for youth throughout Carlton, Cook, Douglas, Lake, and St. Louis Counties. Since its inception, the YAF has donated more than $1 million to the community’s youth athletic and recreational organizations.
The Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk is the third and final race in the annual KP Challenge. This three-race series allows participants to commit to three YAF races throughout the spring and summer and is designed to keep participants on a regular training schedule that supports the successful completion of longer distances.
