Registration for the 2019 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is now closed. The registration capacity of 7,500 has been met. However, participants can secure an entry through our Charity Partner Program.

William A. Irvin 5K

Registration for 2019 opened on October 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Registration is limited to the first 2,000 registrants.


Great Grandma’s Full and Half Challenges

2-Year Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon Guaranteed Entry Opportunity

Registration for this opportunity to secure a spot into the 2019/2020 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathons opened on October 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. CT. Limited to the first 100 registrants.


Corporate Team Challenge

Registration for the Corporate Team Challenge for full and part-time employees of any for profit or non-profit corporation and municipalities will open in early 2019. Contact Laura Bergen for more information.

KP Challenge*

By participating in the KP Challenge, you’re committing to run three popular Grandma’s Marathon races in 2018 – the Saint Fennessy 4K on March 16, Fitger’s 5K on April 27 and the Park Point 5-Miler/2-Mile Walk on July 18.

Accept the 2019 KP Challenge to:

  • Stick to a regular running schedule,
  • Train to gradually complete longer distances,
  • Receive commemorative swag at each of the KP Challenge races and
  • Earn exclusive KP challenge branded backpack!

Saint Fennessy 4K 

Date: March 16, 2019

Details: Get your green on and dash through Hermantown! This zesty 4K brings you right to the party with music and tasty beverages courtesy of McKenzie’s and Yellow Bike Coffee. All the action happens in Hermantown Square with a heated festival tent!

Swag: Participants will receive a Saint Fennessy 4K winter hat and race wrap.

Fitger’s 5K

Date: Saturday, April 27, 2019

Details: This 3.1-mile race is run through the heart of Duluth’s historic downtown district and Canal Park. Starting and finishing at the iconic Fitger’s Brewery Complex, the Fitger’s 5K is a great way for runners of all abilities to launch their spring training.

Swag: Participants will receive a long-sleeve, quarter zip shirt, race wrap, and a medal. 

Park Point 5-Miler

Date: Thursday, July 18, 2019

Details: The Park Point 5-miler – northern Minnesota’s oldest road race – is run along Minnesota Avenue through Duluth’s famous Park Point neighborhood. The 2-mile walk and kids races are held at the end of Park Point near the picnic pavilions.

Swag: Participants in the run and walk will receive a commemorative Park Point 5-Miler beach towel and race wrap.

Minnesota Mile

Date: September 6, 2019

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Details:  Run the 1-mile loop on Minnesota’s scenic Skyline Parkway while enjoying spectacular views of Lake Superior, the St. Louis River Bay and Minnesota’s fall foliage. Take in all the beauty Duluth has to offer during this majestic time of year.
