Racecourse Information

The William A. Irvin 5K racecourse starts in Bayfront Festival Park and takes participants on a scenic tour of Duluth’s popular Lakewalk and Canal Park before finishing in the same location.

NOTE: For reference, a map of the modified 2021 racecourse is posted below, and an updated map for the 2022 race will be posted closer to race weekend.


Packet Pickup

Race packets are distributed on Grandma’s Marathon weekend at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Participants are also given the option at time of registration to have their race packet sent via mail.

By registering to participate in a Grandma’s Marathon wekened event, you agree to follow all the rules and regulations set forth by our organization.

Road Closures

Grandma’s Marathon works with the Duluth Police Department on road closures and traffic advisories surrounding race weekend.
