Our mission is to create a stronger community by doing good deeds for our neighbors, including spontaneous random acts of kindness, and by spreading good will within our community.
We encourage people to pay it forward, and to help spread the kindness to surrounding communities, striving to create a model that other towns or communities can adopt.

IMPORTANT: To apply to become a charity runner for Grandma’s Marathon weekend, please contact your charity of choice directly to inquire about available entries, fundraising requirements, etc.
FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS
Charity runners commit to fundraising a minimum amount prior to race weekend, as outlined below:
- Grandma’s Marathon — $750
- Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon — $750
- William A. Irvin 5K — $250
The fundraising goal must be reached prior to the date agreed upon between the organization and participant. If the minimum fundraising amount is not met, the remaining balance will be charged to the participant or the entry may be inactivated.
PERKS
In addition to an entry to the Grandma’s Marathon weekend race of their choice, all charity runners will also receive:
- Good Samaritan tech running shirt or tank
- $1000+ fundraisers will receive hoodie or duffel bag
