ABOUT SAFE HAVEN SHELTER & RESOURCE CENTER
Safe Haven provides safety, space to heal, advocacy, and empowerment for women, children, and all survivors of domestic violence. We do this by operating a 24/7 crisis Shelter and phone line that supports around 600 individuals annually, as well as a drop-in Resource Center downtown that serves over 1,500 individuals annually.
Our services in both locations include meeting basic needs, safety planning, legal advocacy, assistance with employment, education, and housing – as well as trauma and support services for children and adults. Safe Haven’s comprehensive programming supports survivors through their entire journey from crisis management to lasting freedom from domestic violence.
As the largest domestic violence shelter north of the metro and south of International Falls, Safe Haven has been supporting survivors for more than 48 years strong.
