ALL-TIME RACE RESULTS
The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon has grown to be one of the most popular in the United States, with close to 10,000 people now signing up for the 13.1-mile race each year.
In 2025, the Grandma’s Marathon weekend saw its largest participation numbers ever with more than 18,300 finishers between the marathon, half marathon, and 5K events.
The race is is timed and scored by Mtec Results. The previous year’s results, as well as historical and all-time results dating to the inaugural event in 1977, are available HERE.

MEN’S EVENT RECORD HOLDER
When Tebello Ramakongoana crossed the finish line in Canal Park, he had not only only won the 2024 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon but also had unseated one of the most recognizable faces in American distance running.
Ramakongoana, a native of Lesotho, broke the longest-standing event record still on the books for Grandma’s Marathon weekend – he ran a personal record time of 1:00:17 to break, by more than a minute, the event record time of 1:01:22 set by 2004 Olympic silver medalist Meb Keflezighi.
Already qualified for the Olympics and fresh off a new personal best and national record time last year, Ramakongoana was making his debut in Duluth and using the race as a tune-up for Paris.
“He elevates our entire team,” coach James McKirdy said. “This was a huge personal best, and now our sights turn to something even bigger.”

WOMEN’S EVENT RECORD HOLDER
Teammates Annie Frisbie and Dakotah Lindwurm predicted prior to the race that both were capable of breaking the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon event record, it was just matter of which of them got to the finish line first.
That prediction held true, as Frisbie finished with a new event record time of 1:07:33 and had to outduel 2024 US Olympian and Minnesota Distance Elite teammate Dakotah Lindwurm, who finished 30 seconds behind with a time of 1:08:03.
“I could definitely tell at certain points that [Dakotah] wasn’t far behind me,” Frisbie said. “I decided to be a bit more aggressive, and it ended up paying off.”
The duo both finished ahead the existing event record of 1:09:26, which was set just last year by Maggie Montoya.

NON-BINARY EVENT RECORD HOLDER
Jonah Grant set the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon non-binary event record in 2023 with a time of 1:12:59, breaking the mark set one year prior by Sarah Stuhr.
Grant, from Madison, Wis., broke Stuhr’s existing mark by more than an hour, that after the non-binary category was first introduced to the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon as an official category in 2022.
The category grew from one participant in its first year to eight in its second, and Grant was also the first non-binary winner to receive prize money at the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.
