GETTING TO DULUTH

HIT THE ROAD
Duluth is just 150 miles north of Minneapolis-St. Paul (Twin Cities metro) on Interstate 35. It’s roughly a 2.5-hour trip from the Twin Cities to Duluth. IMPORTANT: Traffic tends to be heavier on Grandma’s Marathon race weekend, especially going north on Friday and south on Sunday. Please plan accordingly.

THE FRIENDLY SKIES
Arriving to and departing from the Duluth International Airport guarantees a stress-free start and end to your journey, and the airport is conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown Duluth.

Delta Airlines offers daily nonstop flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP), and United Express offers daily nonstop flights from Chicago O’Hare Airport (ORD).

SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION
If you choose to fly into the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, there are two options for shuttle service to Duluth:

Groome: Direct drop off to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) and surrounding hotels. Call (218) 724-4676 or visit Groome Transportation for seat reservations.

Landline: Direct service to the Duluth International Airport (DLH). Visit Landline Schedules & Fares to search the available departure/arrival times within the booking tool.

PARKING IN DULUTH

There are a variety of parking options downtown and in Canal Park, including on-street, surface pay lots and centrally located parking ramps. Throughout Duluth’s neighborhoods, you’ll find street parking and parking lots.

GETTING AROUND DULUTH

Duluth has convenient parking, taxi service and bus transportation. Depending on your hotel location, most places in downtown and Canal Park are easy to get to by walking, and you can access several spots through the climate-controlled skywalk.

DULUTH TRANSIT AUTHORITY (DTA)
The DTA provides regular-route service to Duluth, Proctor, and Superior, Wisconsin, and operates 33 unique variations of 18 different routes. Para-transit service for people with disabilities is also offered through STRIDE in these same service areas.

PORT TOWN TROLLEY
The DTA operates the seasonal Port Town Trolley during the summer months that operates between downtown Duluth, Canal Park, and Bayfront Festival Park. The Trolley, which is wheelchair accessible, loops through the city’s downtown and waterfront every 30 minutes during its operational season.

Seasonal Hours & Operation
1st Sunday in June – Labor Day: Daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
$0.50 per ride or $4.00 for a full-day pass.
