What to eat in Duluth during Grandma’s Marathon Weekend

As race weekend is approaching, it is time to start planning your weekend in Duluth! Our Grambassadors have all experienced what Grandma’s Marathon Weekend in Duluth has to offer. We’re way more than just a marathon. Duluth and all the surrounding towns have work-class food to help your carbo-load before your event and tons of breweries to help you celebrate in all your post-marathon glory. Make sure to also check out our dining page for more restaurant selections.

We’re excited to see you in June!  Eat, Drink, and Be Merry (or Marathon).

Shannon Hogan- Wussow’s Concert Cafe, the Curry Veggie Burger with a vegan Scotcheroo for dessert. They are friendly, the food is great, and the atmosphere is amazing! It’s a hidden gem of Duluth!

Rachel Barger- I love Canal Park Brewing Company! The Northcoaster burger is my absolute favorite! It tastes great with a cold drink the day after race day!

Patti Hallback- Chester Creek Cafe (if you stay at UMD, it’s less than 1/2 mile away). Great breakfasts, my favorite is the Hippie Breakfast.

Alex Stolarow- Grandmas Saloon and Grill of course! Love the onion rings and the Bacon Cheddar Burger. All the food is good though!

Angie Maske-Berka- Little Angie’s! This is where I get my post race fried ice cream after eating my weight in chips and salsa.

Lora Osborn- Northern Waters Smokehaus has the BEST sandwiches — and don’t forget to grab some salami to go!
