2024 Charity Partner – Mile in My Shoes

Mile in My Shoes

Mile in My Shoes is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that creates running groups in places you might consider unlikely – homeless shelters, halfway houses for people coming out of prison, substance use disorder recovery programs, to name a few. We believe that running has the power to improve physical, mental and social health, and that all people should have access to those benefits – especially those who have been traditionally left out of the running community and left behind by our health care system. By bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, our Resident Members and Run Mentors not only find common ground, but learn from and reach out to one another for support. As we transform ourselves, we transform one another, and we transform our communities.
