Head & Neck Cancer Foundation
The Head & Neck Cancer Foundation was started by an Oral Surgeon, Dr. Deepak Kademani, in 2020 to raise awareness to this important cause. Head and neck cancers affect over 65,000 people in the United States annually. The key to improving outcomes is awareness, early screening, and early diagnosis. The foundation hosts screening events throughout Minnesota, April awareness lighting events, and educational opportunities throughout the year. We encourage patients, providers, family, friends, and supporters to join us in fundraising for this amazing organization.

FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS
Head & Neck Cancer Foundation runners commit to fundraising a minimum amount prior to race weekend, as outlined below:
- Grandma’s Marathon — $500
- Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon — $500
- William A. Irvin 5K — $250
The fundraising goal must be reached before the runner may register for the race. If the minimum fundraising amount is not met, the remaining balance will be charged to the runner.
PERKS
In addition to a 2024 entry to the Grandma’s Marathon weekend race of their choice, all Head & Neck Cancer Foundation runners will also receive:
- Foundation swag including water bottle, bag, and piece of apparel from the Foundation
- Fundraising support and team encouragement
