Runcoach customized online training program
Join a community of fellow Grandma’s Marathon and Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon Trainees! The Runcoach training service combines a dynamic application with personalized training programs for Grandma’s Marathon and the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon. On average, trainees improve finishing times by 7% and the program also offers a fun rewards program (sponsored by Garmin and others) throughout your training journey.
Whether you are a first-time participant, seeking a new PR, or somewhere in the middle – Runcoach will help you race your best.
*Note: If you ordered Runcoach via your registration form, you do not need to sign up again. You will receive an email with login credentials directly from Runcoach in the near future.
Runcoach also syncs with Garmin, Nike+, RunKeeper and Strava.
Minnesota Distance Running spring training program- Twin Cities Metro
Cost: $125 MDRA members; $150 new members
Training program is led by certified coaches and includes MDRA gear, training plan and supported runs. This class is geared toward the Grandma’s Marathon runners in the twin cities metro and will easily accommodate other spring races.
- Suitable for runners of all levels and abilities.
- A base of at least 25 miles per week is recommended.
- Class meets Tuesdays & Saturdays at various running locations in the Twin Cities metro
- Informational sessions on training topics such as injury prevention, nutrition and different training methods and philosophies.
Duluth Running Co. Spring Marathon/Half Marathon Training Group
A Fun and Super Social Running Group in Duluth, MN!
The Duluth Running Co. training group is one of the largest store-based training groups in the state of Minnesota. You’ll connect with up to 150 others runners of varying abilities three times per week from January 22nd to June 22nd. The size of the group and our attitude towards making each run a fun and social event will likely change the way you feel about running.
Get Expert Coaching – Alisha Bradley, a Certified Personal Trainer with an emphasis on endurance, will guide you through a 22-week training program. You’ll follow a training plan, gain advice, receive loads of information, and get to take advantage of a large, fun group to train with.

Training group runs start at 5:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, typically from Duluth Running Co. Saturday long group runs start at 8am and then move to a 7am start in April. Saturday run locations will vary.
Cost: $140 starting January 1st.
Tony Stensland provides a personal coaching experience in the Duluth area that can also include a training group leading up to Grandma’s Marathon weekend.
